"HUDF cone" looks down the Hubble Ultra Deep Field with a 3° field of view; other presets use 55°.
Gaia DR3 stars move with their measured proper motions and radial velocities when the clock runs. Planets, asteroids and satellites are computed from orbital elements at the clock's instant. Galaxies are static at their catalogued distances.
"Local flow" looks at the supergalactic plane face-on: each Cosmicflows-4 galaxy within 100 Mpc whose peculiar velocity is at least 2σ (and under 1,500 km/s: larger is a distance error) gets an arrow from its measured distance to where a Hubble flow of 74.6 km/s/Mpc (the catalog's own zero point) would put it,
warm receding faster than the flow,
cool slower, brighter the more significant; only the line-of-sight component is measured, so arrows are radial.
Named structures (Virgo, Laniakea, the Great Attractor, the Boötes void…) are labelled when they span more than about a degree of the view, each with a ring of its extent and a reference; click one for details. Beyond 300 Mpc from the Sun the DSS2 sky fades and the Planck 2018 microwave background takes its place, drawn as a sphere at the surface of last scattering, 14 Gpc out: the atlas's edge.
